It's hard to remember a time when I didn't think about music. I (like many) had aspirations of being a rock star and follow in the footsteps of my idols such as Jeff Buckley, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. I started composing when I was about 14, writing out little melodies and harmonic ideas in the back of my maths book.

I studied both Music and Music Technology in college which helped start to develop a sense of style and I began composing in earnest. The only piece that ever made it out of maths book became the theme to “Music Box,” a piece I scored for full orchestra just before I left college. I then knew that screaming guitars, knee slides and leather trousers was not for me.

During my time studying Music Tech at university I focussed on composing music for film and television. I loved the idea of trying to capture emotion within my pieces and I'd often play around writing alternative themes to my favourite movies. A few years down the line and I had begun to develop my library of work of which there are highlights on this site. I've had the privilege of working on some wonderful projects with some truly amazing people. I've now traded the maths book for a mac book and the melodies I write have grown up a little as well.
